Independent Fellowship Workshop
Each year the Independet fellows come back to Sarai to make final presentations of their work at a public workshop hosted at Sarai. This section contains a detailed report of the 2005 presentations and post-presentation discussions. 2004 projects ranged from a study of call centre labour, to an analysis of the work in the fastfood economy, to a historical investigation of the impact of labour regimentation in coal mines on kinship structures, to a study of the spatial ordering of worker's housing in the Tata Steel work colonies, to an experiental study of commuter trains in Mumbai, amongst many others.
