  • Can Sarai exhibit my work?

We can sometimes host modest and low cost exhibitions of prints, photography and digital work that can be shown on a single computer. • Can I display my work in the Interface Zone/contribute to the digital Interface?

Yes. Send a sample of your work attached to an email, to medialab@sarai.net

  • Will Sarai provide me with performance space?

Yes. We are interested in the idea of people, especially younger people in the university, using the space around the CafĂ© counter in the basement at Sarai for small and informal performances. These can be - chamber theatre pieces, contemporary modern dance works involving a few performers and a modest audience, music (not at a high volume), open mike, poetry readings, salons, etc. The space is available subject to our schedule, and subject to how the proposed performance speaks to Sarai’s concerns and interests. We cannot support any such projects with funds. Write to outreach@sarai.net giving details of what you want to do and when you want it scheduled in order to schedule a discussion about the feasibility of your proposal.

  • Can I put up notices at Sarai?

Sarai’s public access area has several boards on which non-commercial information can be posted.

  •  What kinds of workshops does Sarai hold?

Sarai’s concerns, broadly, are media and the city. Our workshops tend to focus on these themes. Within this framework, we have conducted workshops in a range of areas: hyperlink writing, information politics, intellectual property, Indic computing, free software, media practices (including recent workshops on blogging, comic and zine production), urban narratives, etc. If you would like to know of our workshops and other public events in advance, subscribe to the newsletter or visit the calendar on our website.
