The Student Stipendship Programme is aimed at building a network of young researchers, with an interest in the urban condition. Students are provided financial support and academic resources to carry out research, present their work and interact with the wider academic community. Translation Fellowships

Our ongoing translation programme of key texts from English to Hindi will continue as before. This activity is yielding a steady stream of significant texts that considerably enrich the domain of discourse and debate in the contemporary Hindi public sphere. This year we want to enlarge the ambit of our translation activity at Sarai to include the process of translation to Bengali and Urdu. To diversify and deepen a production of translation at Sarai, we will launch a new programme of Translation Fellowships in the coming phase.

Every year we host a small number of residencies at Sarai. Residents are mainly New Media artists from South Asia as well as from Australia, Europe and the US. We host a small number of students every year as interns at Sarai. Most interns associate with a specefic project at Sarai for a limited period of time.
