The research studies the new developments that are being planned in the Eastern Yamuna river bed and documents the displacement of people living along its banks who are pushed to the fringes in the name of development. The study seeks to critique the notion of development which always meant concrete construction and nullifying the concept of National Capital Territory: pulling, as opposed to diverting, more resources into Delhi.
The study will be based on the eastern banks of Yamuna, starting from ITO to ISBT.
