Prashant Pandey: Documenting the Contemporary History of the Making of the Hindi Film Song
The merging of sound recording with computer technology to create a sample- and sound file-based approach to production has resulted in an enormous increase in the number of songs recorded. This project attempts to unpackage emerging practices, mediated by technological innovation, in the contemporary film industry. It explores changes in artistic practice and production.
