Ima is a Spanish visual artist and curator based in Manchester. During the residency Ima conceived a new body of work composed by several high quality digital images dealing with urban related found sources and responding to the country’s unique identity imagery. To create these artworks she explored the city and surroundings, took photographs which will be her material to produce work at a later stage.

• Hjørdis Kuras

Hjørdis Kurås from Oslo was with Sarai for three months. During her time here, not only did she work on her own project but participated in other art contexts, like the Art Karavan International.

Her project reflects on the diversity in everyday urban life in Delhi. As a center of multicultural diversity, cities are unique places to observe contact between a large variety of different layers. Containing such diversity, Delhi incorporates a range of complex urban and cultural issues, and an intriguing location for research. The project is in the form of drawings, digital photos and video-works.
