Ankur: Society for Alternatives in Education
| For over two decades Ankur has been working in the field of experimental pedagogy with children, young people and the communities in underserved worker’s settlements in Delhi. By 2007, Ankur has consolidated its work in seven such settlements. It has evolved a practice that bases itself on seeing the people associated with as co-travelers, and collaborators. Together they design, create, dynamic and experimental spaces and sites for diverse practices of conversations and mutual learning. Ankur has witnessed the emergence of new and distinct voices from within these spaces making active new narratives and perspectives that would hitherto have been lost or unrecognized. |
