RADIO 02
2005

"Radio FM". The programme is about encountering radio in different places in the locality with a script that is mainly associational. The script guides the listener to the different ways in which we perceived radio's presence in the locality and city as well as has a reflective function. Radio alias FM, and where it roams in the scheme of things... seems to be what we came up with!

SOUND THOUGHTS
2002

A soundscape made in 2002 from scratch recordings at the LNJP Lab. The sound work begins with the voice of a young woman, "I am about to share something with you." It then moves through conversations in lanes, in public places, lectures, conversations and singing at a rally, self recordings of a young man. A vivid sound sketch of a locality and its neighbourhood that ends abruptly with an unwelcomed encounter with the dictaphone. The work was part of the installation, "Before Coming Here, Had You Thought of a Place Like This?", N5M4, 2003. Soundscape edited from recordings at LNJP lab by Ashish Mahajan.
