The Network Of No_des
This digital work, which includes research on media and the city from the PPHP (Publics and Practices in the History of the Present) project at Sarai is an exploration of media practices in South Asian streets, which have a history of using the edit, copy and record/paste function to celebrate a culture of shared usage, gifting, reproduction and low cost distribution mechanisms for high value information goods. The work includes texts, images and film clips as an array of associational possibilities. The path that one takes as one travels between the nodes brings surprises, confirmations and detours, and forces one to confront the fact of oneself as a forager in the undergrowth of the information economy.
