Recently, perhaps adversely influenced by  information-addiction, many Bigfoot aficionados have dismissed "blobsquatches" (photos too blurry to be discernible as sasquatches) as an impediment to serious cryptozoological research. Blobsquatches, on the other hand, lumber on distinctly indistinct, upping the ante on their crypto-status with each ambiguous advance. The perceived obsolescence of these blurry sasquatches may in fact be a sort of memetic camouflage.  This excerpt offers a glimpse of Carl Diehl's intial queries into the field that he has since demarcated "metaphortean."
