1. Hackney Girl (2003) is a video diary documenting my journey from London to Istanbul in 2002 I built in Flash. Its recombinant versions behave like memory in that it re-constitutes past events continually anew. Hackney Girl demonstrates that readers or viewers can construct a coherent narrative from small chunks that they encounter in varying orders.

2. Jane (2006-) is a film dialogue that has adaptable variations of conversation between two characters. Jake and John talk about their wives/lives and a woman they share called Jane. Apart from line substitution, each of the six conversations are divided into 3 sections with each bearing one of the keywords last night, fantasy, and tonight at the start. All 18 sections can be chained together in a Flash-based interface from which a random scenario is created. Each option is inspectable and changeable thus enabling the user/reader to craft their own scenarios. These can be saved as text files on the user's local machine.

The script was shot and will be released over the course of 2009. The Scenario Generator will also be able to play the scenario as filmed sequences and allow conversations to be played in a gallery setting.
