"I traveled between cities in the late night/early morning.  I had been awake for days but couldn't sleep.  It was too quiet and there were all these noises.  There was so much light and it was too dark to see.  I was alone and there were people all around me. I had my video camera."

Lauren McCarthy is an artist, designer, and programmer based in Cambridge, MA.  She graduated from MIT in 2008 with degrees in Computer Science and Visual Arts.  Her work focuses on the interplay of technology and the physical environment.  She currently works as a designer at Small Design Firm, Inc. making interactive installations, software, and media environments.
