White’s Mill Pond, SC: Scott F Hall
“White's Mill Pond, SC”, is an audible archive of a roadside South Carolina swamp as it sounded one day in June 2007. Hall’s sonic art work depicts in superreal sonic form the convergence of modern technology (boats, cars, airplanes, and the digital audio recorder itself) with primal nature. In this piece, the two audibly coexist together in the diverse context of the 21st century world.

Scott F. Hall is an intermedia artist based in California, USA. He entwines sculpture, sound, music, and the invention of unique sound-producing instruments into an integrated art form he calls "Scultura Sana" (Sound Sculpture). Hall’s sound art pieces have been described perhaps most accurately as “soundtracks for films seen only in the mind.”
