This thematic revisits the idea of urban experience. The older mode of a distinct urban experience has been complicated by new confusions caused by the expansion of the domain seen as the technological into everyday life. Further, classic divisions of public and private that the older visions of the city were based are equally under debate. The thematic of experience brings together and reflects on all the existing Sarai research: biopolitics and information, risk and speed, technology and life, public and private, media and city, nature and artifice, smooth and warped spaces, consensus and dissensus. |
